How to Care for Your Jewelry

Below are care recommendations for your new jewelry to ensure you will have your beloved pieces for many years to come!

Gemstones, pearls, minerals and seashells

Don't drop them! They will  break. Keep away from lotion,  hair spray and perfume. If you need to, you may gently use a soft damp cloth.

Tarnishing is the natural result of oxidation and is normal with metals. For jewelry metals, use a jewelry polishing cloth to restore the brightness.  DO NOT submerse in a liquid jewelry cleaner, as this will damage surrounding stones and beads.

Do not wear in the shower or while swimming. Remove before going to sleep.

Storage

For your necklaces and bracelets, lay flat. Bending or folding could create a kink and cause damage to the beading wire. This type of wear could lead to breakage. Earrings may be hung or lay flat.

For your seashell necklaces, you may remove the ribbon and rinse with a dab of light soap or shampoo and rinse well. Dry the metal clasp completely and let the ribbon air dry.  The seashell can be cleaned with a damp cloth if needed.

Keep away from children

The jewelry I create is intended for adult use only.  Beads and other materials could be a choking hazard.
